Val\u00e9ria Cassiano (USP).<\/p>\n<hr align=\"center\" noshade=\"noshade\" size=\"1\" width=\"100%\" \/>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\">ENTOLOMATACEAE COM BASIDI\u00d3SPOROS CUBOIDES NO BRASIL: REVIS\u00c3O TAXON\u00d4MICA E CONTRIBUI\u00c7\u00c3O PARA A FILOGENIA MOLECULAR<\/h3>\n<hr align=\"center\" noshade=\"noshade\" size=\"1\" width=\"100%\" \/>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>ABSTRACT<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><em>Entolomataceae <\/em>species are characterized by spore shape, which may be bumpy, ridged, or angular with four to nine angles in profile. The generic classification is mainly based on the habit, as well as on the pileae surface. Consequently, the species with cuboidal basidiospores occur within different genera. The aim of this study was to elucidate the relationship of species with cuboidal basidiospores inside the <em>Entolomataceae <\/em>phylogeny. The phylogenetic analyses supported that the studied species grouped into two clades weakly related to the Inocephalus- Cyanula clade. Therefore, based upon molecular and morphological evidence, two new genera are proposed herewith: <em>Cuboeccilia <\/em>and <em>Cubospora<\/em>. <em>Cuboeccilia <\/em>is characterized by an omphalinoid habit and fusoid cystidia whereas <em>Cubospora <\/em>is characterized by a mycenoid to tricholomatoid habit and clavate, rarely fusoid cheilocystidia. With the molecular and morphological analysis, a total of 28 species with cuboidal basidiospores were recorded for Brazil, with a new species of <em>Cuboeccilia<\/em>, <em>Cuboeccilia largentiana<\/em>, and 27 species of <em>Cubospora<\/em>, of which 15 species are new to science, <em>Cubospora amazonica<\/em>, <em>C. arenicola<\/em>, <em>azurea<\/em>, <em>C. atlantica<\/em>, <em>C. brasiliensis<\/em>, <em>C. brunneolosquamulosa<\/em>, <em>C. caelesta<\/em>, <em>C. gatesiana, <\/em><em>luteobrunnea<\/em>, <em>C. noordeloosiana<\/em>, <em>C. membranacea<\/em>, <em>C.\u00a0 eotropicalis<\/em>, <em>C. papillata<\/em>, <em>rufescens <\/em>and <em>C. vinososquamulosa<\/em>; 12 species correspond to new combinations, two of them being new records for Brazil, <em>C. acutopallida <\/em>and <em>C. luteolamellata <\/em>and four being new records for the states from which they were sampled, <em>C. caribaea<\/em>, <em>C. cervina<\/em>, <em>C. dragonospora <\/em>and <em>C. lycopersica<\/em>. The morphological review of the collections has also ruled out the species <em>Cubospora avilana <\/em>and actually puts to question the citation of <em>C. kamerunensis<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Key words:<\/strong> Agaricales, fungi, diversity, phylogeny, taxonomy.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>RESUMO<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">As esp\u00e9cies de <em>Entolomataceae <\/em>s\u00e3o caracterizadas pelos basidi\u00f3sporos rugoso- facetados, ou longitudinalmente sulcados ou angulados, variando de quatro a nove \u00e2ngulos em perfil. A classifica\u00e7\u00e3o da fam\u00edlia usualmente utiliza o tipo de h\u00e1bito e de superf\u00edcie pilear para agrupar os g\u00eaneros, e desse modo as esp\u00e9cies com basidi\u00f3sporos cuboides ocorrem em diferentes g\u00eaneros. O presente trabalho teve como objetivo elucidar a rela\u00e7\u00e3o filogen\u00e9tica das esp\u00e9cies com basidi\u00f3sporos cuboides. As an\u00e1lises filogen\u00e9ticas suportaram que as esp\u00e9cies com basidi\u00f3sporos cuboides est\u00e3o agrupadas em dois clados fracamente relacionados no clado Inocephalus-Cyanula e com base nas evid\u00eancias moleculares e morfol\u00f3gicas dois g\u00eaneros novos est\u00e3o sendo propostos, <em>Cuboeccilia <\/em>e <em>Cubospora<\/em>, diferindo por <em>Cuboeccilia <\/em>ser caracterizada por ter h\u00e1bito onfalinoide e cist\u00eddios fusoides presentes e <em>Cubospora <\/em>por ter h\u00e1bito variando de micenoide a tricolomatoide e queilocist\u00eddios frequentemente clavados. Como resultado, um total de 28 esp\u00e9cies com basidi\u00f3sporos cuboides foram aceitos para o Brasil, sendo uma esp\u00e9cie nova de <em>Cuboeccilia, C. largentiana<\/em>, e 27 esp\u00e9cies de <em>Cubospora<\/em>, das quais\u00a015 s\u00e3o esp\u00e9cies novas para a ci\u00eancia, <em>Cubospora amazonica<\/em>, <em>C. arenicola<\/em>, <em>C. azurea<\/em>, <em>atlantica<\/em>, <em>C. brasiliensis<\/em>,\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<em>C.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0brunneolosquamulosa<\/em>,\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<em>C.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0caelesta<\/em>,\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<em>C.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0gatesiana, <\/em><em>luteobrunnea<\/em>, <em>C.\u00a0 oordeloosiana<\/em>,\u00a0 \u00a0<em>C. membranacea<\/em>,\u00a0 \u00a0<em>C.\u00a0 \u00a0neotropicalis<\/em>,\u00a0 \u00a0<em>C. papillata<\/em>, <em>rufescens <\/em>e <em>C. vinososquamulosa<\/em>; 12 esp\u00e9cies correspondem \u00e0 combina\u00e7\u00f5es novas, das quais duas s\u00e3o ocorr\u00eancias novas para o Brasil, <em>C. acutopallida <\/em>e <em>C. luteolamellata <\/em>e quatro s\u00e3o amplia\u00e7\u00f5es na distribui\u00e7\u00e3o para os estados dos quais foram amostradas, <em>C. caribaea<\/em>, <em>C. cervina<\/em>, <em>dragonospora <\/em>e <em>C. lycopersica<\/em>.
