In Brazil, it is represented by 13 genera and 207 species, of which 124 are endemic. The family is characterized by grouping species of herbaceous, subshrubby, shrubby or arboreal habit. Leaves are simple and alternate, rarely opposite or whorled, with stipules and margins generally serrated. The inflorescence can be panicle, raceme or isolated, with axillary or terminal flowers. Fruits schizocarp with drupoid mericarps or capsules. It is a family with few taxonomic surveys, most of which are restricted to specific areas of the States. The objective of this work is to present a taxonomic synopsis of the species of Ochnaceae for the state of S\u00e3o Paulo, contributing to the identification and delimitation of the species of the family and the knowledge and conservation of the state&#8217;s flora. For this purpose, analyses were carried out of herborized materials deposited in the main state herbaria and new collections were added to observe the species in their habitat. In S\u00e3o Paulo, 21 species of Ochnaceae were identified, 17 for <em>Ouratea<\/em> and 4 for <em>Sauvagesia<\/em>, highlighting a new synonymization of <em>Ouratea humilis<\/em> in <em>O. floribunda <\/em>and two new records, <em>Ouratea campo-portoi <\/em>and <em>O. claudei<\/em>, and the addition of <em>O. yamamotoana<\/em>, a recently described species<em>. <\/em>Descriptions, taxonomic and ecological comments, identification keys, illustrations, photos and distribution maps of the species are presented, and an illustrated field guide is proposed.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Keywords:<\/strong> Atlantic Forest, Cerrado, <em>Ouratea<\/em>, <em>Sauvagesia<\/em>, Taxonomy.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>RESUMO<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Ochnaceae compreende 33 g\u00eaneros e 650 esp\u00e9cies, de distribui\u00e7\u00e3o pantropical. No Brasil, est\u00e1 representada por 13 g\u00eaneros e 207 esp\u00e9cies, das quais 124 s\u00e3o end\u00eamicas. A fam\u00edlia se caracteriza por agrupar esp\u00e9cies de h\u00e1bito herb\u00e1ceo, subarbustivo, arbustivo ou arb\u00f3reo. Folhas simples e alternas, raramente opostas ou verticiladas, com est\u00edpulas e margens geralmente serreadas. A infloresc\u00eancia podaz e ser pan\u00edcula, racemo ou flores isoladas, axilares ou terminais. Frutos esquizocarpos com mericarpos drupoides ou c\u00e1psulas. \u00c9 uma fam\u00edlia com poucos levantamentos taxon\u00f4micos que, em sua maioria, s\u00e3o restritos a \u00e1reas delimitadas. O objetivo deste trabalho \u00e9 apresentar uma sinopse taxon\u00f4mica das esp\u00e9cies de Ochnaceae no estado de S\u00e3o Paulo, contribuindo para a identifica\u00e7\u00e3o e delimita\u00e7\u00e3o das esp\u00e9cies da fam\u00edlia e o conhecimento e conserva\u00e7\u00e3o da flora do Estado. Para tanto foram realizadas an\u00e1lises de materiais herborizados depositados nos principais herb\u00e1rios do Estado e acrescidos de novas coletas para observa\u00e7\u00f5es das esp\u00e9cies em seu habitat.
