As represas foram classificadas oligotr\u00f3ficas e apresentaram estratifica\u00e7\u00e3o t\u00e9rmica e qu\u00edmica no ver\u00e3o, quando se observou a maior disponibilidade de nutrientes (am\u00f4nio, nitrog\u00eanio total e f\u00f3sforo total) e an\u00f3xia no fundo do sistema, sugerindo intenso processo de decomposi\u00e7\u00e3o da mat\u00e9ria org\u00e2nica no fundo do reservat\u00f3rio.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">O exame das 60 unidades amostrais permitiu identificar 37 esp\u00e9cies de algas e cianobact\u00e9rias descritoras, que foram classificadas em 18 grupos funcionais (<strong>A, B, E, F, H1, J, K, L<sub>M<\/sub>, L<sub>O<\/sub>, MP, NA, P, S1, S<sub>N<\/sub>, W2, X1, X2<\/strong> e <strong>Y<\/strong>). Concluiu-se que a estrutura da comunidade foi influenciada pela sazonalidade.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">O grupo funcional <strong>B<\/strong>, constitu\u00eddo principalmente por <em>Discostella stelligera<\/em>, foi o mais frequente nas tr\u00eas represas em ambos os per\u00edodos de amostragem.<\/p>\n<hr align=\"center\" noshade=\"noshade\" size=\"1\" width=\"100%\" \/>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\">Biodiversidade e distribui\u00e7\u00e3o do fitopl\u00e2ncton em tr\u00eas represas em cascata no sul do Estado de S\u00e3o Paulo<\/h3>\n<hr align=\"center\" noshade=\"noshade\" size=\"1\" width=\"100%\" \/>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>ABSTRACT<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Effect of spatial and temporal auto-correlation on the structure and dynamics of phytoplankton was investigated for three private reservoirs located in a preserved area of Atlantic Forest, at the Ribeira do Iguape\/Litoral Sul basin, Brazilian Subtropical region, state S\u00e3o Paulo, over the Juqui\u00e1 Gua\u00e7u river. Reservoirs are: Cachoeira do Fran\u00e7a (23\u00ba56\u2019S, 47\u00ba11\u2019W, altitude 640 m, surface 12,7 km<sup>2<\/sup>), Cachoeira da Fuma\u00e7a (24\u00ba00\u2019S, 47\u00ba15\u2019W, altitude 531 m, surface 6,92 km<sup>2<\/sup>) and Serraria (24\u00ba09\u2019S, 47\u00ba33\u2019W, altitude 83 m, surface 2,2 km<sup>2<\/sup>). Samplings were carried out both during the rainy (January-February) and dry seasons (July-August) of year 2014, at three or four localities depending on the reservoir, <em>i<\/em>.<em>e<\/em>. close to the main tributary, more or less central region of reservoir, and close to the dam; and at three depths (subsurface, c. half the water column height and c. 1 m above the reservoir sediments) totaling 60 sampling unities. Environment variables studied were: air and water temperature, rain precipitation, transparency, pH, electric conductivity, free CO<sub>2<\/sub>, DO, NO<sub>3<\/sub>, NH<sub>4<\/sub>, TN, PO<sub>4<\/sub>, TP and SRS concentration, as well as the phytoplankton biomass estimated from each species biovolume. Study aimed at: (1) evaluate the phytoplankton structure for each reservoir and the limnological variables associated to all three reservoirs (local scale); (2) determine the local and regional environmental variables and the structure and dynamics of the phytoplankton contributions, as well as the functional groups strategies and their possible use as ecological indicators for the three reservoirs; (3) evaluate the horizontal distribution of physical, chemical and biological variables for each reservoir; and (4) investigate the Cyanobacteria dynamics and structure, and the limnological features connected to their distribution among the three reservoirs. The following hypotheses were considered at that occasion: (1) species richness, diversity and biomass are related to local environment factors that are structured by niche; (2) species relative abundances associated to environmental conditions are somewhat similar among the three reservoirs; and (3) reservoirs show similarities in their species composition and dominance. Reservoirs classified oligotrophic showed thermal and chemical stratification during the summer, leading to the greatest nutrient (ammonium, total nitrogen and total phosphorus) availability at the bottom of reservoirs and anoxia, that was suggested by the existence of an extended decomposition process of the organic matter at the bottom of each reservoir. The dry period was characterized by some thermal instability and total mixing of the water column, with homogeneous chemical distribution, however, high DO concentrations, especially at thesurface, and greater chlorophyll <em>a <\/em>concentration at the sampling sites of localities near to the entrance into the reservoir Cachoeira do Fran\u00e7a (39-44 mg L<sup>-1<\/sup>). Thirty seven algae and Cyanobacteria species were identified and classified into 19 functional groups \u2018<em>sensu<\/em>\u2019 Reynolds (<strong>A, B, E, F, H1, J, K, L<sub>M<\/sub>, L<sub>O<\/sub>, MP, NA, P, S1, S<sub>N<\/sub>, W2, X1, X2<\/strong> and <strong>Y<\/strong>), associated to the environment conditions. Functional group <strong>B<\/strong>, mainly built by <em>Discostella stelligera<\/em>, was the most frequent in all reservoirs, in both seasons.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Key-words: <\/strong>functional groups, mixing, stratification, subtropics.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>RESUMO<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">A influ\u00eancia da autocorrela\u00e7\u00e3o espacial (vertical e horizontal) e temporal na estrutura e din\u00e2mica do fitopl\u00e2ncton foi pesquisada na regi\u00e3o subtropical brasileira, em tr\u00eas reservat\u00f3rios inseridos em \u00e1rea preservada de Mata Atl\u00e2ntica, de car\u00e1ter privado, situada na \u00e1rea da bacia Ribeira do Iguape\/Litoral Sul, Estado de S\u00e3o Paulo, sobre o rio Juqui\u00e1 Gua\u00e7u, Os reservat\u00f3rios s\u00e3o: Cachoeira do Fran\u00e7a (23\u00ba56\u2019S, 47\u00ba11\u2019W, altitude 640 m, \u00e1rea 12,7 km<sup>2<\/sup>), Cachoeira da Fuma\u00e7a (24\u00ba00\u2019S, 47\u00ba15\u2019W, altitude 531 m, \u00e1rea 6,92 km<sup>2<\/sup>) e Serraria (24\u00ba09\u2019S, 47\u00ba33\u2019W, altitude 83 m, \u00e1rea 2,2 km<sup>2<\/sup>). As vari\u00e1veis analisadas foram: temperatura do ar e da \u00e1gua, precipita\u00e7\u00e3o pluvial, transpar\u00eancia, pH, condutividade el\u00e9trica, concentra\u00e7\u00e3o de CO<sub>2<\/sub> livre, OD, NO<sub>3<\/sub>, NH<sub>4<\/sub>, NT, PO<sub>4<\/sub>, PT e SRS, al\u00e9m da biomassa fitoplanct\u00f4nica estimada a partir do biovolume de cada esp\u00e9cie. O estudo teve como objetivo: (1) avaliar a estrutura do fitopl\u00e2ncton em tr\u00eas reservat\u00f3rios e os fatores ambientais a eles associados (escala local); (2) determinar as contribui\u00e7\u00f5es local e regional das vari\u00e1veis abi\u00f3ticas e da estrutura e din\u00e2mica do fitopl\u00e2ncton, bem como estrat\u00e9gias e grupos funcionais e sua poss\u00edvel utiliza\u00e7\u00e3o como indicador ecol\u00f3gico nesses sistemas; (3) avaliar a distribui\u00e7\u00e3o horizontal das vari\u00e1veis f\u00edsicas, qu\u00edmicas e biol\u00f3gicas ao longo de cada um dos reservat\u00f3rios; e (4) investigar a din\u00e2mica e a estrutura das cianobact\u00e9rias e os fatores ligados \u00e0 sua dissemina\u00e7\u00e3o entre os ambientes. As seguintes hip\u00f3teses foram consideradas: (1) riqueza de esp\u00e9cies, diversidade e biomassa est\u00e3o relacionadas com fatores ambientais estruturados pelo nicho; (2) abund\u00e2ncias relativas das esp\u00e9cies associadas a condi\u00e7\u00f5es ambientais s\u00e3o um tanto semelhantes entre as tr\u00eas represas; e (3) as represas mostram semelhan\u00e7as em sua composi\u00e7\u00e3o e domin\u00e2ncia de esp\u00e9cies. As represas foram classificadas oligotr\u00f3ficas e apresentaram estratifica\u00e7\u00e3o t\u00e9rmica e qu\u00edmica no ver\u00e3o, verificando-se a maior disponibilidade de nutrientes (am\u00f4nio, nitrog\u00eanio total e f\u00f3sforo total) e an\u00f3xia no fundo do sistema, sugerindo intenso processo de decomposi\u00e7\u00e3o da mat\u00e9ria org\u00e2nica no fundo do reservat\u00f3rio. O per\u00edodo do inverno foi caracterizado pela instabilidade t\u00e9rmica e pela mistura total da coluna d\u2019\u00e1gua, com distribui\u00e7\u00e3o qu\u00edmica homog\u00eanea, por\u00e9m, com altas concentra\u00e7\u00f5es de OD, especialmente na superf\u00edcie, e maiores concentra\u00e7\u00f5es de clorofila <em>a <\/em>nos locais mais pr\u00f3ximos da entrada dos tribut\u00e1rios na represa Cachoeira do Fran\u00e7a (39-44 mg L<sup>-1<\/sup>). Das 60 unidades amostrais, foram identificadas 37 esp\u00e9cies de algas e cianobact\u00e9rias descritoras classificadas em 18 grupos funcionais \u2018<em>sensu<\/em>\u2019 Reynolds (<strong>A, B, E, F, H1, J, K, L<sub>M<\/sub>, L<sub>O<\/sub>, MP, NA, P, S1, S<sub>N<\/sub>, W2, X1, X2<\/strong> e <strong>Y<\/strong>), associadas \u00e0s condi\u00e7\u00f5es limnol\u00f3gicas.
