Carmen Lidia Amorim Pires-Zottarelli (orientadora\/IBt), a aluna Ana Lucia de Jesus e o Dr. Domingos da Silva Leite (UNICAMP)<\/p>\n<hr align=\"center\" noshade=\"noshade\" size=\"1\" width=\"100%\" \/>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\">Diversidade e filogenia de <em>Blastocladiomycota, Chytridiomycota e Monoblepharidomycota<\/em> do Mosaico de Unidades de Conserva\u00e7\u00e3o Jur\u00e9ia-Itatins, estado de S\u00e3o Paulo, Brasil<\/h3>\n<hr align=\"center\" noshade=\"noshade\" size=\"1\" width=\"100%\" \/>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>ABSTRACT<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><em>Blastocladiomycota, Chytridiomycota, Monoblepharidomycota, Neocallimastigomycota, Olpidiomycota<\/em> and <em>Rozellomycota<\/em> are phyla belonging to kingdom Fungi, which can be found as saprobes and \/or parasites in aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems. Many species are especially decomposers of the cellulosic, chitinous and keratinous substrates, as well as sporopollenin, and some of them are important parasites of algae, plants and animals. These fungi have in common a posterior whiplash flagellum in the spore (zoospore), requiring water to complete its life cycle, and often survive for long period of time under adverse conditions through the production of resistance structures. In Brazil, studies with these phyla are still few, considering the size of the country and the limited number of specialists. Of approximately 1.200 described species, only 134 were registered in this country. When we consider the gene sequences of the species, the global picture is still worrying, because there are few researchers working with these groups and consequently a few numbers of sequences are available in GenBank. Therefore, this study had as its main objective, evaluate the richness and the diversity of zoosporic fungi belonging to <em>Blastocladiomycota, Chytridiomycota <\/em>and<em> Monoblepharidomycota<\/em> phyla, from aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems at \u201cMosaico de Unidades de Conserva\u00e7\u00e3o Jur\u00e9ia-Itatins\u201d. For this, four sampling were performed from August\/2016 to October\/2017, where were collected soil samples, and water, submerged leaves and surface sediment samples from freshwater bodies, in different locations. The samples were plated in the laboratory, baited with the multiple baiting technique and incubated for 7\u201330 days, which were analyzed with the optical microscopy. From 185 samples (45 water samples, 45 surface sediment samples, 45 submerged leaves samples, 45 soil samples and 5 submerged fruits \u2013 apple), 47 taxa were identified, being 19 species isolated in pure culture medium and\/or in pure baits, allowing the sequencing of the ITS, LSU and SSU of the nuc rDNA and the construction of the phylogenetic trees. The morphological and phylogenetical analyses revealed a new genus, three new species for science and five new records for Brazil. In addition, was performed the zoospore ultrastructure technique in the three identified species, which assisted in the establishment of new taxa and\/or new taxonomical classification within <em>Chytridiomycota<\/em>. \u00a0In general, this study contributes not only to the expansion of the knowledge of the diversity of Brazilian zoosporic fungi, but also to the worldwide diversity, since the morphological, molecular and\/or ultrastructural analyzes of these organisms showed new taxa for science. In addition, it allows the enrichment of gene databases by providing gene sequences from Brazilian isolates.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Key words:<\/strong> morphological and molecular diversity, zoosporic fungi, systematic, zoospore ultrastructure<span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>RESUMO<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><em>Blastocladiomycota, Chytridiomycota, Monoblepharidomycota, Neocallimastigomycota, Olpidiomycota<\/em> e <em>Rozellomycota<\/em> s\u00e3o filos pertencentes ao Reino Fungi, cujos representantes atuam como sapr\u00f3bios e\/ou parasitas nos ecossistemas aqu\u00e1ticos e terrestres. Embora muitas esp\u00e9cies sejam decompositoras especialmente de substratos celul\u00f3sicos, queratinosos, quitinosos e esporopolenina, algumas se destacam como importantes parasitas de algas, plantas e animais. Estes fungos possuem em comum um flagelo liso, posteriormente inserido no esporo (zo\u00f3sporo), necessitando de \u00e1gua para completar o seu ciclo de vida, podendo muitas vezes sobreviver por longo per\u00edodo de tempo em condi\u00e7\u00f5es adversas por meio de estruturas de resist\u00eancia. No Brasil, estudos com estes filos s\u00e3o ainda poucos, se considerarmos a dimens\u00e3o do pa\u00eds e o restrito n\u00famero de especialistas. De aproximadamente 1.200 esp\u00e9cies descritas, somente 134 foram at\u00e9 agora registradas no pa\u00eds. Quando consideramos as sequ\u00eancias g\u00eanicas das esp\u00e9cies, o quadro mundial \u00e9 ainda mais preocupante, pois com escassos pesquisadores trabalhando com estes grupos, pouco at\u00e9 agora est\u00e1 dispon\u00edvel em bancos de dados g\u00eanicos. Diante disso, este estudo teve como objetivo principal avaliar a riqueza e a diversidade dos fungos zoosp\u00f3ricos pertencentes aos filos <em>Blastocladiomycota, Chytridiomycota<\/em> e <em>Monoblepharidomycota<\/em>, nos ecossistemas aqu\u00e1ticos e terrestres do Mosaico de Unidades de Conserva\u00e7\u00e3o Jur\u00e9ia-Itatins. Para isto, quatro coletas foram realizadas de agosto\/2016 a outubro\/2017, onde foram coletadas quantidades padronizadas de solo, e de \u00e1gua, folhas submersas e sedimento do fundo de corpos d\u2019 \u00e1gua, de diferentes locais. As amostras foram plaqueadas em laborat\u00f3rio, iscadas pela t\u00e9cnica de iscagem m\u00faltipla e incubadas de 7 a 30 dias, onde foram analisadas com aux\u00edlio de microscopia \u00f3tica. De 185 amostras (45 amostras de \u00e1gua, 45 de sedimento de fundo, 45 de folhas submersas, 45 de solo e 5 de frutos submersos &#8211; ma\u00e7\u00e3), 47 esp\u00e9cies foram identificadas (02 <em>Blastocladiomycota<\/em>, 02 <em>Monoblepharidomycota<\/em> e 43 <em>Chytridiomycota<\/em>), com 19 delas isoladas em meio de cultura pura e\/ou em iscas puras, permitindo o sequenciamento das regi\u00f5es ITS, LSU e\/ou SSU do nuc rDNA, as quais foram utilizadas para a constru\u00e7\u00e3o de \u00e1rvores filogen\u00e9ticas. As an\u00e1lises morfol\u00f3gicas e filogen\u00e9ticas revelaram um g\u00eanero novo, tr\u00eas novas esp\u00e9cies, bem como cinco novas cita\u00e7\u00f5es para o pa\u00eds. Al\u00e9m disso, foi realizada a t\u00e9cnica de ultraestrutura de zo\u00f3sporos, em tr\u00eas das esp\u00e9cies identificadas, a qual auxiliou no estabelecimento de novos t\u00e1xons e\/ou novas classifica\u00e7\u00f5es taxon\u00f4micas dentro de <em>Chytridiomycota<\/em>. De maneira geral, este estudo contribuiu n\u00e3o s\u00f3 para a amplia\u00e7\u00e3o do conhecimento da diversidade de fungos zoosp\u00f3ricos brasileira, como tamb\u00e9m para a diversidade mundial, desde que as an\u00e1lises morfol\u00f3gicas, moleculares e\/ou ultraestruturais destes organismos evidenciaram novos t\u00e1xons para a ci\u00eancia.
