O objetivo principal da pesquisa foi reconhecer os padr\u00f5es da morfologia e ultraestrutura pol\u00ednica (microscopia eletr\u00f4nica de varredura) dos g\u00eaneros <em>Aeschynomene <\/em>e<em> Tephrosia<\/em>, que ocorre no Novo e Velho mundo.<\/p>\n<hr align=\"center\" noshade=\"noshade\" size=\"1\" width=\"100%\" \/>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\">Palinotaxonomia de esp\u00e9cies brasileiras de Aeschynomene L. e de esp\u00e9cies sul americanas de Tephrosia Pers. (Fabaceae \u2013 Papilionoideae)<\/h3>\n<hr align=\"center\" noshade=\"noshade\" size=\"1\" width=\"100%\" \/>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>ABSTRACT<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The palynological works for the genera <em>Aeschynomene <\/em>L. and <em>Tephrosia<\/em> Pers. are scarce and have left many gaps. The aim of this study was to fill these spaces with a focus on the species that occur in South America. Two sections and nine series of <em>Aeschynomene<\/em> and two subgenera of <em>Tephrosia <\/em>were studied, that occur in Brazil. The pollen materials were prepared according to the standard methodology for analysis in optical microscopy and scanning electron microscopy. To obtain qualitative and quantitative data, statistical and descriptive analyzes were performed. The pollen grains of the long stamens of some species of <em>Aeschynomene <\/em>presented difference in the dimensions of the polar and equatorial axes when compared to the pollen grains of the short stamens of the same specimen. However no distinctions were observed regarding other patterns of pollen morphology. The <em>Aeschynomene<\/em> species were separated by quantitative and qualitative data according to the pollen morphology, as well as the recognition of the two sections and some series and clades. In the genus <em>Tephrosia<\/em>, although it was possible to separate the species by pollen characters, it was not possible to recognize the two proposed subgenres. Despite this, the pollen data were important for the group, since a variable pattern of exina ornamentation could be observed in the studied species. Thus, data on pollen morphology for species occurring in Brazil of the genres <em>Aeschynomene <\/em>and <em>Tephrosia <\/em>could be recognized, denoting value for the taxonomy of the group.<br \/>\n<strong>Keywords<\/strong>: Leguminosae, palinotaxonomy, Papilionoideae, pollen morphology<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>RESUMO<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Os trabalhos palinol\u00f3gicos para os g\u00eaneros <em>Aeschynomene<\/em> e <em>Tephrosia<\/em> s\u00e3o escassos e deixaram muitas lacunas, sendo que preencher esses espa\u00e7os, com enfoque nas esp\u00e9cies ocorrentes no Brasil foi o objetivo desse trabalho. Para ambos os g\u00eaneros, as esp\u00e9cies foram coletadas de modo que abrangessem as duas sec\u00e7\u00f5es e nove s\u00e9ries de <em>Aeschynomene <\/em>ocorrentes no Brasil e os dois subg\u00eaneros de <em>Tephrosia <\/em>ocorrentes na Am\u00e9rica do Sul. Os materiais foram preparados de acordo com a metodologia padr\u00e3o para an\u00e1lise em microscopia \u00f3tica e microscopia eletr\u00f4nica de varredura. Para obten\u00e7\u00e3o de dados quantitativos e qualitativos, an\u00e1lises descritivas e estat\u00edsticas foram realizadas. Os gr\u00e3os de p\u00f3len dos estames longos de algumas esp\u00e9cies de <em>Aeschynomene<\/em> podem apresentar diferen\u00e7a nos eixos polar e equatorial, quando comparados com os gr\u00e3os de p\u00f3len dos estames curtos. Por\u00e9m, n\u00e3o foram observadas distin\u00e7\u00f5es quanto ao padr\u00e3o da morfologia pol\u00ednica. As esp\u00e9cies de <em>Aeschynomene<\/em> podem ser separadas de acordo com os dados quantitativos e qualitativos de acordo com a morfologia pol\u00ednica, bem como o reconhecimento das duas sec\u00e7\u00f5es, e de algumas s\u00e9ries e clados. No g\u00eanero <em>Tephrosia<\/em>, apesar de ser poss\u00edvel a separa\u00e7\u00e3o das esp\u00e9cies por caracteres pol\u00ednicos, n\u00e3o foi poss\u00edvel distinguir os dois subg\u00eaneros propostos, por\u00e9m os dados pol\u00ednicos s\u00e3o de import\u00e2ncia para o grupo, visto que um vari\u00e1vel padr\u00e3o de ornamenta\u00e7\u00e3o da exina p\u00f4de ser observado nas esp\u00e9cies estudadas.
