O trabalho foi avaliado e aprovado pela banca examinadora.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr align=\"center\" noshade=\"noshade\" size=\"1\" width=\"100%\" \/>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\">Avalia\u00e7\u00e3o do desenvolvimento inicial e do potencial de regenera\u00e7\u00e3o natural de um plantio com alta diversidade no Parque Estadual das Fontes do Ipiranga, S\u00e3o Paulo (SP)<\/h3>\n<hr align=\"center\" noshade=\"noshade\" size=\"1\" width=\"100%\" \/>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>ABSTRACT<\/p>\n<p><\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The restoration forest is a strategy of protecting biodiversity of tropical forests, that have\u00a0peculiar characteristics, fragmented in a matrix of anthropic Pressures. In the state of S\u00e3o\u00a0Paulo, tropical forests are scarce, an important reason for the preservation of forest remnants,\u00a0such as those in conservation units, and for the development of studies that subsidize or\u00a0promote restoration actions, such as this, inserted in the State Park of the Sources of Ipiranga\u00a0(PEFI). Thus, in an area of six hectares, with more than 15 thousand seedlings of 98 tree\u00a0species planted, permanent plots were installed to evaluate the initial development of\u00a0seedlings, in different models of planting and soil conditions, in addition to seed and\u00a0regeneration plots, to analyze the regenerative potential of the area during two years period.\u00a0Variance analysis was performed, followed by Tukey post hoc tests, to compare the\u00a0magnitude of the variables. The results showed that the model unit with only pioneer species\u00a0presented higher biometric values (height, crown diameter, diameter at soil height and base\u00a0area), when compared to other with non-pioneer species \u2013 but it did not differ, over time,\u00a0when compared to the mixed plantation model unit. In addition, it was evident the relation of\u00a0the initial development of the pioneer trees with the best conditions of the soil, as long as\u00a0from the second year, the pioneer species showed better performance in altered or unchanged\u00a0soil conditions, an important discovery for the selection of species to be planted in areas with\u00a0altered soil. Among biometric information, the diameter at the soil height and base area of the\u00a0seedlings were considered good indicators for the evolution of a new forest, since they\u00a0presented a significantly better growth, depending on the soil condition, temperature and\u00a0rainfalls. As for the regenerative potential, the results on seed rain showed a high amount of\u00a0seeds of the invasive species U. decumbens, when compared to seeds of other species, and the\u00a0relation between the distribution of the species and the largest records in hot and wet periods\u00a0was also established. Was also verified that the input of seeds and species was not related to\u00a0the distances of the three forest fragments of study area, however it is related to condition and\u00a0influence of the planted area. In the same way, the spontaneous recruitment of seedlings was\u00a0not associated with the distances tested among the three forest fragments. Although, even with\u00a0the proximity of the area under restoration with forest remnants, recruitment depended not\u00a0only on the dispersion of seeds, but also on the availability of resources and sites propitious to\u00a0germination. Furthermore, colonizers species may benefit or inhibit the settlement for other\u00a0species. Finally, this research reveals many findings useful in ecological restoration, aiming at\u00a0the biodiversity conservation in protected areas and in public policies.<br \/>\n<strong>Keywords<\/strong>: \u00a0forest restoration, planting models, soils, seed rain and recruitment of seedlings<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>RESUMO<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">A restaura\u00e7\u00e3o florestal \u00e9 uma atividade em pleno crescimento no Brasil e no mundo, fundamentalmente em decorr\u00eancia dos m\u00faltiplos benef\u00edcios sociais, econ\u00f4micos e ambientais que proporciona, mitigando efeitos maleficos das mudan\u00e7as clim\u00e1ticas, protegendo a flora, a fauna, conservando a biodiversidade e at\u00e9 recuperando recursos h\u00eddricos e o solo. Portanto, promover a restaura\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 uma estrat\u00e9gia de conserva\u00e7\u00e3o para a manuten\u00e7\u00e3o da biodiversidade de florestas tropicais, que possuem caracter\u00edsticas peculiares e est\u00e3o fragmentadas, em uma matriz com diferentes press\u00f5es antr\u00f3picas. No Estado de S\u00e3o Paulo, florestas s\u00e3o escassas, raz\u00e3o importante para a preserva\u00e7\u00e3o de remanescentes florestais, como os de unidades de conserva\u00e7\u00e3o, e para o desenvolvimento de estudos que subsidiem ou promovam a\u00e7\u00f5es de restaura\u00e7\u00e3o, como esta, inserida no Parque Estadual das Fontes do Ipiranga (PEFI). Assim, em uma \u00e1rea de seis hectares, com mais de 15 mil mudas de 98 esp\u00e9cies arb\u00f3reas plantadas, foram instaladas parcelas permanentes, para avalia\u00e7\u00e3o do desenvolvimento inicial das mudas, em diferentes modelos de plantio e condi\u00e7\u00f5es de solo, al\u00e9m de coletores de sementes e parcelas de regenera\u00e7\u00e3o, para an\u00e1lise do potencial regenerativo da \u00e1rea, durante um per\u00edodo de dois anos. Foram realizadas an\u00e1lises de vari\u00e2ncia padr\u00e3o, seguidas pelos testes de post hoc de Tukey, para comparar a signific\u00e2ncia das vari\u00e1veis. Os resultados mostraram que o modelo que utilizou apenas esp\u00e9cies pioneiras, no plantio, apresentou maiores valores biom\u00e9tricos (altura, di\u00e2metro da copa, di\u00e2metro \u00e0 altura do solo e \u00e1rea basal), quando comparado \u00e0quele que utilizou apenas esp\u00e9cies n\u00e3o pioneiras, mas n\u00e3o diferiu, ao longo do tempo, quando comparado ao modelo de plantio misto. Al\u00e9m disso, foi evidente a rela\u00e7\u00e3o do desenvolvimento inicial das mudas arb\u00f3reas pioneiras, com a melhor condi\u00e7\u00e3o f\u00edsica do solo, j\u00e1 que a partir do segundo ano, as esp\u00e9cies <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">pioneiras<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> apresentaram melhor desempenho, tanto em condi\u00e7\u00f5es de solo <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">alterado<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> como <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">n\u00e3o alterado<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, constata\u00e7\u00e3o importante para a sele\u00e7\u00e3o de esp\u00e9cies a serem plantadas em \u00e1reas com solo alterado. Entre as vari\u00e1veis biom\u00e9tricas analisadas, o di\u00e2metro \u00e0 altura do solo e \u00e1rea basal das mudas plantadas foram considerados bons indicadores, para a avalia\u00e7\u00e3o quanto ao estabelecimento de uma nova floresta, visto que apresentaram crescimento significativamente melhor, dependente da condi\u00e7\u00e3o f\u00edsica do solo, temperatura e precipita\u00e7\u00e3o. Quanto ao potencial regenerativo, os resultados quanto \u00e0 chuva de sementes mostraram elevada quantidade de sementes da esp\u00e9cie invasora <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Urochloa decumbens<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, quando comparada com sementes de outras esp\u00e9cies, ficando tamb\u00e9m estabelecida a rela\u00e7\u00e3o entre a distribui\u00e7\u00e3o das esp\u00e9cies e os maiores registros em per\u00edodos quentes e \u00famidos. Tamb\u00e9m foi verificado que o aporte de sementes e de esp\u00e9cies n\u00e3o estava relacionado \u00e0s dist\u00e2ncias testadas dos tr\u00eas fragmentos florestais, inseridos na paisagem (\u00e1rea de estudo), mas sim \u00e0 condi\u00e7\u00e3o e influ\u00eancia destes sobre a \u00e1rea plantada. Do mesmo modo, o recrutamento <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">espont\u00e2neo de pl\u00e2ntulas n\u00e3o se mostrou associado \u00e0s <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">dist\u00e2ncias testadas em rela\u00e7\u00e3o aos tr\u00eas fragmentos florestais. Por\u00e9m, mesmo com a proximidade da \u00e1rea em processo de restaura\u00e7\u00e3o com remanescentes florestais, o recrutamento n\u00e3o dependeu apenas da dispers\u00e3o de sementes, mas sim da disponibilidade de recursos e locais prop\u00edcios \u00e0 germina\u00e7\u00e3o, sendo que esp\u00e9cies colonizadoras iniciais podem favorecer ou inibir a coloniza\u00e7\u00e3o de outras esp\u00e9cies.
