Este evento, organizado pela IAH (International Association of Hidrogeologist), \u00e9 um dos mais prestigiados na \u00e1rea de hidrogeologia do mundo, pois re\u00fane especialistas dos mais importantes centros em geoqu\u00edmica isot\u00f3pica, contamina\u00e7\u00e3o de \u00e1guas subterr\u00e2neas, modelagem e gest\u00e3o de aqu\u00edferos.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">A pesquisadora apresentou o trabalho intitulado \u201cLand urban occupation and groundwater contamination by nitrate: a complex relationship in the mid-western region of the Sao Paulo State (Brazil)\u201d. Na ocasi\u00e3o, foi divulgada uma parte dos resultados in\u00e9ditos correspondentes ao projeto de pesquisa \u201cPadr\u00f5es de ocupa\u00e7\u00e3o urbana e contamina\u00e7\u00e3o por nitrato nas \u00e1guas subterr\u00e2neas do Sistema Aqu\u00edfero Bauru, centro-oeste do estado de S\u00e3o Paulo\u201d, desenvolvido pelo Instituto Geol\u00f3gico (IG\/SMA) em coopera\u00e7\u00e3o com o Instituto de Geoci\u00eancias da Universidade de S\u00e3o Paulo (IGc-USP) e a Universidade de Waterloo (Canad\u00e1). O trabalho ressaltou contribui\u00e7\u00f5es cient\u00edficas pioneiras na \u00e1rea de hidroqu\u00edmica do nitrog\u00eanio em aqu\u00edferos contaminados por sistemas de saneamento frente aos padr\u00f5es de ocupa\u00e7\u00e3o urbana.
