quinta-feira, dia 02 de fevereiro de 2012, o Semin\u00e1rio <strong>C\u00d3DIGO FLORESTAL \u2013 MEIO AMBIENTE E AGRICULTURA<\/strong>. O evento foi uma realiza\u00e7\u00e3o da ABJICA \u2013 Associa\u00e7\u00e3o dos Bolsistas JICA em parceria com o IF e com o apoio da JICA \u2013 Ag\u00eancia de Coopera\u00e7\u00e3o Internacional do Jap\u00e3o e do WWF-BRASIL.<\/p>\n<p>O mestre de cerim\u00f4nias foi o Pesquisador Cient\u00edfico Luiz Alberto Bucci e a mesa de abertura do evento foi composta por: Rodrigo Victor, Diretor Geral do IF; Carine Alencar, Consultora em Coopera\u00e7\u00e3o T\u00e9cnica da JICA no Brasil; Kentaro Yoshida, PhD pela Universidade de Hokkaido, Professor da Faculdade de Estudos Ambientais da Universidade de Nagasaki, Jap\u00e3o; Vereador Hiroyuki Minami, Presidente da C\u00e2mara Municipal de S\u00e3o Bernardo do Campo; Dr. Guenji Yamazoe Pesquisador Cient\u00edfico aposentado do IF e presidente da ABJICA; Dr. Jo\u00e3o Carlos Augusti, Presidente do FLORESTAR S\u00e3o Paulo (Associa\u00e7\u00e3o Paulista de Produtores de Florestas Plantadas). Tamb\u00e9m estiveram presentes no evento, Jonpeter Germano Glaeser, Secret\u00e1rio do Meio Ambiente de Mairipor\u00e3, e Luiz Henrique Camara Leal de Oliveira, Diretor Executivo do FLORESTAR S\u00c3O PAULO.<\/p>\n<p>O IF vem promovendo uma s\u00e9rie de discuss\u00f5es e debates acerca da tem\u00e1tica ambiental. No que diz respeito ao Novo C\u00f3digo Florestal, a institui\u00e7\u00e3o tem um papel hist\u00f3rico importante em sua concep\u00e7\u00e3o. Segundo Rodrigo Victor, \u201cO C\u00f3digo Florestal, ao legislar sobre a a\u00e7\u00e3o especialmente do meio rural, tem um papel decisivo de como ser\u00e1 a qualidade ambiental no Brasil, e nos apresenta o desafio de conciliar conserva\u00e7\u00e3o ambiental e produ\u00e7\u00e3o rural\u201d. O Diretor do Instituto Florestal refor\u00e7ou que o objetivo do Semin\u00e1rio \u00e9 provocar reflex\u00f5es e debates, no sentido de se fazer convergirem propostas.<\/p>\n<p>O Professor Kentaro ministrou a palestra \u201c Tend\u00eancias internacionais da produ\u00e7\u00e3o agr\u00edcola e as quest\u00f5es ambientais\u201d, abordando de maneira abrangente diversos t\u00f3picos da agenda contempor\u00e2nea, como agricultura sustent\u00e1vel, pagamento por servi\u00e7os ambientais, conserva\u00e7\u00e3o da natureza. Em seguida, Maria Cec\u00edlia Wey de Brito, Mestre em Ci\u00eancias Ambientais pela USP, Eng. Agr\u00f4noma pela ESALQ-USP, Secret\u00e1ria Geral do WWF- Brasil, exp\u00f4s sua vis\u00e3o cr\u00edtica acerca do Novo C\u00f3digo na palestra \u201cO que esperar da pol\u00edtica de biodiversidade brasileira \u2013 atualiza\u00e7\u00f5es. Ao final, Sidney Hideo Fujivara, Eng. Agr\u00f4nomo pela Universidade Federal de Vi\u00e7osa, produtor rural na regi\u00e3o de Cap\u00e3o Bonito (SP), fez sua apresenta\u00e7\u00e3o \u201cC\u00f3digo Florestal \u2013 Ponto de vista do agricultor\u201d, falando sobre o aumento da demanda mundial de alimentos, o crescimento do agroneg\u00f3cio e fazendo uma cr\u00edtica \u00e0 guerra ideol\u00f3gica entre ambientalistas e ruralistas. Jo\u00e3o Carlos Augusti moderou os debates, que ocorreram ap\u00f3s cada apresenta\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n<p>O Semin\u00e1rio contou com servi\u00e7o de tradu\u00e7\u00e3o simult\u00e2nea.
