Na Sexta-feira Santa do ano 1.028, com o respaldo da lei, teve a oportunidade de matar o assassino de seu irm\u00e3o, mas n\u00e3o o fez. Em um momento de ilumina\u00e7\u00e3o, abra\u00e7ou-o em um ato de perd\u00e3o.<\/p>\n<p>Anos depois, S\u00e3o Jo\u00e3o Gualberto fundou a ordem dos Monges Beneditinos de Valombrosa no monte Apenino, na Toscana, regi\u00e3o com vasta vegeta\u00e7\u00e3o e v\u00e1rios bosques. Os mosteiros sob sua orienta\u00e7\u00e3o se tornaram centros de forma\u00e7\u00e3o intelectual e espiritual com grande influ\u00eancia por toda Europa.<\/p>\n<p>Apenas em 1951, atendendo a uma solicita\u00e7\u00e3o do Minist\u00e9rio da Agricultura e das Florestas da It\u00e1lia, foi proclamado pelo papa Pio XII, como o Santo Protetor das Florestas, por ter em vida, escolhido os bosques e florestas que circundavam o mosteiro para meditar.<br \/>\n<strong>S\u00e3o Jo\u00e3o Gualberto e o IF<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A imagem de S\u00e3o Jo\u00e3o Gualberto localizada no Parque Estadual Alberto L\u00f6fgren foi esculpida em m\u00e1rmore de carrara e o pedestal onde foi colocada teve sua confec\u00e7\u00e3o elaborada e entalhada em arabescos, em madeira de lei brasileira, nas oficinas de marcenaria por antigos artes\u00e3os. A imagem doada em 30 de junho 1956 pelo governo italiano ao ent\u00e3o Servi\u00e7o Florestal e, nesta mesma data, S\u00e3o Jo\u00e3o Gualberto foi proclamado &#8220;Protetor das Florestas do Estado de S\u00e3o Paulo&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fotos:<\/strong>\u00a0Jos\u00e9 D.
