dia 13 de novembro, durante a reuni\u00e3o do Conselho Estadual de Meio Ambiente (Consema), foi apresentado o rec\u00e9m-publicado livro &#8220;Plantas Pequenas do Cerrado: Biodiversidade Neglicenciada&#8221;. A publica\u00e7\u00e3o<span style=\"line-height: 1.5\">\u00a0cont\u00e9m 577 esp\u00e9cies ilustradas<\/span><span style=\"line-height: 1.5\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"line-height: 1.5\">do bioma.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"line-height: 1.5\">Entre os autores est\u00e3o os pesquisadores cient\u00edficos do Instituto Florestal (IF) Giselda Durigan, refer\u00eancia internacional em restaura\u00e7\u00e3o ecol\u00f3gica, e Jo\u00e3o Batista Baitello, taxonomista que descobriu nada menos que 10 esp\u00e9cies vegetais diferentes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Baitello explica que a publica\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 uma continua\u00e7\u00e3o do livro anterior,\u00a0<span style=\"line-height: 1.5\">&#8220;<\/span><a style=\"line-height: 1.5\" href=\"https:\/\/www.infraestruturameioambiente.sp.gov.br\/institutoflorestal\/2004\/01\/02\/plantas-do-cerrado-paulista-imagens-de-uma-paisagem-ameacada\/\">Plantas do Cerrado Paulista: Imagens de uma paisagem amea\u00e7ada<\/a><span style=\"line-height: 1.5\">&#8220;, publicado em 2004. &#8220;A<\/span><span style=\"line-height: 1.5\">umentamos o n\u00famero de esp\u00e9cies, incluindo as que n\u00e3o estivessem no livro anterior e optando pelas pequenas&#8221;, conta o pesquisador.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>O diretor geral do IF Luis Alberto Bucci e o secret\u00e1rio de Meio Ambiente do Estado de S\u00e3o Paulo Eduardo Trani estavam presentes na ocasi\u00e3o. De acordo com as palavras de Trani na apresenta\u00e7\u00e3o do livro, a publica\u00e7\u00e3o busca o equil\u00edbrio e eleva ao devido patamar a import\u00e2ncia de plantas que n\u00e3o s\u00e3o \u00e1rvores e de ecossistemas que n\u00e3o s\u00e3o florestas, por muito tempo neglicenciados nas pol\u00edticas conservacionistas. Ressalta ainda que o conhecimento compartilhado no livro e que contribuir\u00e1 para aprimorar as pol\u00edticas p\u00fablicas visando \u00e0 conserva\u00e7\u00e3o do Cerrado \u00e9 resultado de v\u00e1rios anos de pesquisas desenvolvidas pelo Instituto Florestal.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;&#8230; reportando aos dados atuais dispon\u00edveis, para cada esp\u00e9cie de \u00e1rvore do bioma (que somam 1.889 esp\u00e9cies), existem pelo menos seis de plantas que s\u00e3o arbustos, subarbustos, ervas e lianas (ou 10.865)&#8221;, aponta\u00a0<span style=\"line-height: 1.5\">na apresenta\u00e7\u00e3o do livro<\/span><span style=\"line-height: 1.5\">\u00a0Bruno Walter, doutor em Ecologia.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Al\u00e9m de Giselda e Baitello, s\u00e3o autores do livro Natashi Pilon, doutoranda em Ecologia pela Universidade de Campinas, Geissianny Assis, doutora em Bot\u00e2nica do Jardim Bot\u00e2nico do Rio de Janeiro, e Flaviana Souza, doutora em Biologia Vegetal e analista do Minist\u00e9rio p\u00fablico do Estado de S\u00e3o Paulo.
