a 28 de junho aconteceu a 13\u00aa Expobor, a maior feira de tecnologia, m\u00e1quinas e artefatos de borracha da Am\u00e9rica Latina.\u00a0No \u00e2mbito da feira, no dia 28 ocorreu\u00a0o \u201c9\u00ba Encontro Nacional da Borracha Natural\u201d e o\u00a0Instituto Florestal (IF) esteve presente divulgando alguns de seus produtos no estande \u201cEspa\u00e7o Borracha Natural\u201d, bem como as tecnologias geradas a partir das pesquisas realizadas na institui\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n<p>O estande foi voltado \u00e0 divulga\u00e7\u00e3o de pesquisa e inova\u00e7\u00e3o de institui\u00e7\u00f5es de ci\u00eancia e tecnologia do Brasil. O IF decorou o estande com pe\u00e7as de mobili\u00e1rio de confeccionados em madeira de seringueira na Floresta Estadual de Manduri, \u00e1rea natural protegida sob gest\u00e3o da institui\u00e7\u00e3o. Foram oito itens, como mesa acoplada, cama, porta, janela e bancos diversos. O espa\u00e7o foi compartilhado com outras institui\u00e7\u00f5es, como o Instituto Agron\u00f4mico de Campina (IAC), Universidade de Bras\u00edlia (UnB), Universidade de Campinas (Unicamp), entre outros.<\/p>\n<p>A Feira foi realizada no Expo Center Norte, na capital paulista.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Muito al\u00e9m da borracha<\/strong><br \/>\nA seringueira \u00e9 uma \u00e1rvore da Floresta Amaz\u00f4nica que produz borracha de excelente qualidade. No auge, o com\u00e9rcio da borracha proporcionou quase 40% doas receitas das exporta\u00e7\u00f5es brasileiras, quase se igualando ao caf\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>A cultura da seringueira, enfrentando in\u00fameros desafios, est\u00e1 se estabelecendo como uma atividade lucrativa e sustent\u00e1vel, apresentando expressivo crescimento das suas \u00e1reas de plantio. Atualmente, os maiores plantios de seringueira se localizam no Noroeste de S\u00e3o Paulo, sendo o estado o maior produtor de borracha natural do Brasil.<\/p>\n<p>Quando ocorre a queda da produ\u00e7\u00e3o do l\u00e1tex \u00e9 feita a renova\u00e7\u00e3o do seringal. Nesta oportunidade, h\u00e1 disponibilidade de madeira com perspectivas de uma renda extra ao produtor. A madeira de seringueira \u00e9 excelente mat\u00e9ria prima na fabrica\u00e7\u00e3o de m\u00f3veis, taboados, forros, portas e caixotarias, entre outros.<\/p>\n<p>A produ\u00e7\u00e3o e a exporta\u00e7\u00e3o de mobili\u00e1rio confeccionado com madeira de seringueira \u00e9 atividade importante em diversos pa\u00edses asi\u00e1ticos, como Mal\u00e1sia, Indon\u00e9sia, Vietn\u00e3 e Filipinas.<\/p>\n<p>Entre 2005 e 2009, o Instituto Florestal realizou projeto de pesquisa com o objetivo de realizar um invent\u00e1rio florestal que quantificou e caracterizou a madeira de seringueira no estado, indicando a predi\u00e7\u00e3o da produ\u00e7\u00e3o necess\u00e1ria \u00e0 sustentabilidade do abastecimento industrial. O projeto foi financiado pela Funda\u00e7\u00e3o de Amparo \u00e0 Pesquisa do Estado de S\u00e3o Paulo (Fapesp).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Parcerias para o desenvolvimento<\/strong><br \/>\nO pesquisador cient\u00edfico do Instituto Florestal Miguel Luiz Menezes Freitas esteve presente no evento e contou um pouco sobre os estudos com seringueira realizados na institui\u00e7\u00e3o. &#8220;Em um trabalho em conjunto com Eduardo Longui, Israel de Lima (pesquisadores da se\u00e7\u00e3o de madeiras e produtos florestais do IF) e Alexandre Magno Sebbenn (pesquisador em melhoramento gen\u00e9tico do IF), estamos analisando o crescimento, em altura e di\u00e2metro, de ensaios (plantios) que foram instalados h\u00e1 d\u00e9cadas em algumas unidades do Instituto Agron\u00f4mico de Campinas (IAC)&#8221;, revela Freitas. O material foi disponibilizado por Paulo Gon\u00e7alves, pesquisador da Empresa Brasileira de Pesquisa Agropecu\u00e1ria (Embrapa) lotado no IAC.<\/p>\n<p>Ainda na \u00e1rea da gen\u00e9tica quantitativa, mas tamb\u00e9m envolvendo a biologia molecular, o pesquisador revela que estamos avan\u00e7ando em outros trabalhos, em parceria com o professor M\u00e1rio Moraes da Universidade Estadual Paulista (Unesp) de Ilha Solteira, visando tanto a produ\u00e7\u00e3o de seringueira para a extra\u00e7\u00e3o de l\u00e1tex, quanto a produ\u00e7\u00e3o de madeira para a movelaria e outras utilidades.<\/p>\n<p>Freitas refor\u00e7a ainda o grande interesse na instala\u00e7\u00e3o de sistemas agroflorestais que incluam a seringueira.\u00a0O pesquisador explica que a produ\u00e7\u00e3o simult\u00e2nea de v\u00e1rias esp\u00e9cies em um mesmo local, talvez at\u00e9 com gado, pode render mais produtos e ter um resultado econ\u00f4mico mais duradouro.Este trabalho esta sendo realizado pelo Instituto Florestal em conjunto com o Instituto de Zootecnia, o IAC (na base de Votuporanga, que \u00e9 o centro de seringueira) e a Unesp de Ilha Solteira.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fotos:<\/strong> Acervo Instituto Florestal<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mais informa\u00e7\u00f5es:<\/strong> Pesquisador cient\u00edfico Miguel Luiz Menezes Freitas &#8211; Tel.
