Sandra Monterio Borges Florsheim participou, em fevereiro, do Semin\u00e1rio internacional &#8220;Illegal Logging Workshop&#8221;, na Col\u00f4mbia.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em\">O evento acontece periodicamente em diferentes pa\u00edses \u00a0e tem como tema a explora\u00e7\u00e3o ilegal de madeira. A edi\u00e7\u00e3o colombiana, <em>Seminario\u00a0Tala y Trafico Ilegal de Madera en Colombia<\/em><\/span><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em\">\u00a0e ocorreu na capital Bogot\u00e1 entre os dias 24 e 26.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Sandra ministrou a palestra que aborda a import\u00e2ncia da identifica\u00e7\u00e3o de madeira na fiscaliza\u00e7\u00e3o. \u00a0Apresentou a metodologia de identifica\u00e7\u00e3o de madeira <em>online<\/em>\u00a0que desenvolveu no IF e \u00e9 utilizada na fiscaliza\u00e7\u00e3o junto \u00e0 Pol\u00edcia Ambiental com o objetivo de coibir a entrada de madeira ilegal no Estado de S\u00e3o Paulo. Segundo a pesquisadora \u201cse o policial n\u00e3o sabe identificar a madeira, consequentemente, h\u00e1 facilidade dos infratores de passarem produto ilegal\u201d. E para que se saiba se a madeira \u00e9 ilegal ou n\u00e3o, h\u00e1 necessidade de an\u00e1lise t\u00e9cnica, realizada somente por especialistas. A metodologia de Sandra permite que os especialistas fa\u00e7am a an\u00e1lise da madeira \u00e0 dist\u00e2ncia em tempo real, sem precisar ir a campo com os policiais.
