El edificio fue construido entre 1928 y 1930.Inaugurado en 1931,dise\u00f1ado espec\u00edficamente para recibir el acervo, as\u00ed como laboratorios de investigaci\u00f3n que funcionaron en el piso inferior entre las d\u00e9cadas de 1930 y 1960.
